Aleeza’s philosophy

Aleeza believes that everyone can achieve a healthy weight and a healthy relationship with food. What differentiates Aleeza is her balanced approach to treatment: it is not only about what you’re eating but why you are eating. Aleeza’s unique combination of evidence-based nutrition and behavioural psychology will empower you to develop a more balanced approach to eating thus enabling you to achieve a healthy relationship with food, a healthy weight and optimal physical and mental wellbeing.

Qualifications and registrations

Aleeza is a registered dietitian specialising in eating disorders, weight management and bariatric surgery. She graduated cum laude with an Honours degree in Dietetics and was awarded the degree ‘MSc Clinical Nutrition (Eating Disorders)’ with distinction from University College London (UCL). She has been practising since 2004 and has extensive experience in working with people of all ages (children, adolescents, adults) in various NHS settings, the private sector and has also worked in corporate wellness for more than 10 years. She is currently the Lead Eating Disorders Dietitian for one of London’s largest NHS Trusts and manages the in-patient, out-patient and day-hospital dietetic treatment programmes. Having also studied psychology, she is an expert in behavioural change counselling to support patients, both underweight and overweight, to achieve and sustain a healthy weight. She is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and the British Dietetic Association (BDA). She is also a member of the BDA’s Mental Health Interest Group; the London Eating Disorders Dietetic Group and the British Obesity & Metabolic Surgery Society (BOMSS). She is an honorary lecturer for University College London (UCL) and a guest lecturer for several other tertiary institutions in and around London

Whatever stage you’re at I can help you to create realistic goals and develop a customised programme to support you to achieve them.
I am passionate about translating the science of nutrition into easy-to-follow advice to help you achieve your nutrition and lifestyle goals and promote optimal health and wellbeing. Working at your own pace and within your comfort zone I will support you in transitioning your future relationship with food to a healthier, more balanced one.

Why choose a dietitian?

Choosing the right person to seek advice from about food and nutrition can be confusing. Registered Dietitians are the only nutrition professionals to be regulated by law. They are governed by an ethical code to ensure that they always work to the highest standard. Registered dietitians (RD’s) are also the only qualified health professionals that assess, diagnose and treat dietary and nutritional problems for individuals.
